We will also have lavender lemonade for sale.
Are Restrooms available during the festival?
Two portable restrooms will be available for use.
Will the lavender be in bloom during the festival?
Lavender typically blooms in this area between the end of May and the middle of June. Providing Mother Nature does her job, the lavender should be in bloom. We have between 500-600 plants, several of which are two years old (many of our oldest plants did not survive the past two winters). They are greening up and should put on a great show. Lavender reaches its peak maturity at 3-5 years, so our plants still have some filling out to do. However it is beautiful and smells wonderful.
Will you have anything for kids to do?
We will have some children's activities, including temporary tattoos, balloon animals (after 11 a.m.), lavender playdough, and more. All children's activities are free.
Can I bring pets?
Due to insurance reasons and the health and safety of your pet , we do not allow pets. ADA registered services dogs are allowed.
What is your smoking policy?
Smoking is not allowed on our property.
Will you limit the number of attendees?
Because this is a come-and-go event, last year we were able to rotate cars through to accommodate guests throughout the day. We expect to do the same this year, HOWEVER, we will limit attendance if the crowd becomes unsafe.
Is Free Parking Available?
Attendees park in our yard. Please be respectful of our property. Handicapped parking will be reserved near the front entrance area. Please show your handicapped parking ticket to those at the gate assisting with parking and they will direct you to the closest spots available.
Can I bring food or drinks?
Bottled water can be brought to the event. Our agreement with our food vendors stipulates no outside food allowed. Also, we are in a dry county, so no alcoholic beverages are allowed.
Is there shade?
The event takes place mostly outdoors. Workshops are held under a shade structure and in the barn. Tables for food will also be set up in the barn. You may also bring your own handheld umbrella, but no tents or large shade structures. There is no air conditioning at the festival.
Is the Lavender Farm Festival Handicapped Accessible?
The farm fields are uneven and are not handicap accessible. The farm grounds are uneven grass and rock. Use caution when visiting our property and wear comfortable shoes.
Liability: You are assuming the risk when you visit The Lavender Farm at Woodstock. Under Kentucky law, there is no liability for an injury to or death of a participant in an agritourism activity conducted at this agritourism location if the injury or death results exclusively from the inherent risks of the agritourism activity and in the absence of negligence. You are assuming the risk of participating in this agritourism activity.
Can we take family photos in the field?
We encourage you to bring your camera to the farm! Please tag us on Facebook and Instagram if you post your photos.
Note: We welcome professional photographers to the farm; however, photo shoots MUST be scheduled during times the farm is not open to the public. Please email us to schedule a time to visit the farm.
Do you have bees?
While we do not have beehives on the property, bees LOVE lavender and they are super important to the production of the plants! Last year, we had highly active bees during bloom time. Please take precautions when visiting the farm if you are allergic to bees and make sure you have an epi-pen on hand.
Are Credit Cards accepted?
Credit cards are not accepted for admission at the gate. Entrance is $5/pp cash at the gate. Credit cards are accepted at the farm store.
What should I bring?
We recommend guests bring water, sunscreen, bug spray, hats, sunglasses, parasols, ponchos in the event of rain, picnic blankets, and lawn chairs. This is a farm event, we recommend comfortable shoes.
I have a question that isn't answered here. Who do I contact?
Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Will there be music?
Yes! We have some great entertainment for you!
Zach Hall will be opening the festival with some piano music you'll love!
The Kites will be headlining the festival, playing from 11:30 to 1 p.m. The Kites are an indie-folk duo best known the songs "Home", "Hey You", & "Kentucky". The husband/wife are lauded for their live show - featuring rich harmony, raw energy, & a pleasant juxtaposition of joyful lyrics accompanied by dark musical undertones.
Bring a chair and an umbrella (for shade) and sit back and enjoy the day. You'll love it!
